Mrs. Seuffert's books are invaluable to me. Having grown up as one of nine children, I assumed parenting would be a cinch. I was wrong. Great quick read packed full of useful information for parents. I have 5 kids and found this enormously helpful even at the stage of parenting that I am in. Great for first time parents, too - wish I had read it way back when!
Is a short book very easy to read, was written in simple way so you will read and understand fast, she gives tips that can be applied immediately, it is just needed some will and lots patience. If you are a very busy parent and have no time to read a long and complicated book, this is the book for you. I do really enjoy reading this book and I was applying some tips while I was reading and some work immediately and others need time and patience. I strongly recommend the other 2 books she wrote that offer more invaluable tips fruits of her experience as a homeschool mother with tons of experience, for me it has been a blessing because I am so far away from home and from an experienced grandmother who advices and helps me, this is a very good opportunity to receive that wise advice.
I enjoyed this book. A quick read is necessary with lots of kids at home. Seems like she knows her stuff. Appreciated the suggestions and encouragement in practicing the Catholic faith and raising children who will hopefully do the same.
I loved this book! It is short and to the point. She has some great advice on managing your kids and homeschooling.

Although written with a Catholic perspective, the advice and core values are exactly what I needed to instil a more structured homeschool household. I would recommend it for non homeschooling families as well if struggling with structure or discipline with your children.
Once again, Seuffert tells it like it is, sans any fluffy feel good nonsense, and gets right down to the business of making your houseful of children a real home instead of an insane asylum. This is a quick informative read for busy parents, with a common sense (which is not so common anymore) approach to managing day to day parenting. As a mother of six, I strongly recommend this book as a guide for getting control over the chaos the reigns in so many modern homes.
